Energy Workforce Solution
Through
Engagement Community Partnership .

The Engage Community Partnership Initiative (CPI), where we Engage the Individual, the Community, and the Stakeholders, is a statewide energy workforce solution.

Our Purpose

Purpose is to serve as a conduit between the vast prospective employee candidate pool existing within the communities enveloped in the service footprint of NiSource, its subsidiaries, and counterpart energy providers, to present and future energy career opportunities. By ensuring a healthy balance of private, public, and non-profit community engagement, our solution will create a robust ecosystem that will yield upward economic mobility within these communities for generations to come.

The Creative Minds Behind Engage CPI

CHARLES WILSON

The Creative Minds Behind Engage CPI

One of “Philidelphia’s Top Most Influential African-American To Watch Under The Age Of 40”

– The Philadelphia Tribune

Charles Wilson is a dynamic motivational speaker, nuclear operations trainer, and entrepreneur from Chicago. A U.S. Navy veteran, he launched his nuclear energy career after scoring in the top percentile on the military aptitude test, leading to elite assignments in the Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Following six years of service, Wilson transitioned into the commercial nuclear sector, eventually joining Exelon Nuclear. There, he earned his Nuclear Instructor Certification and trained professionals across the industry. He later co-founded the Legacy Nexus Program, a critical thinking curriculum that has impacted nearly 4,000 students in over 40 schools.

As Managing Partner of CW Consulting Group, Wilson holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Trainer certification and is recognized nationally for his advocacy of minority representation in STEM. His accolades include being named one of Philadelphia’s Top 10 Most Influential African-Americans Under 40 and testifying before Congress on workforce development.

Also the author of A Love Letter: Pocket Guide to Values, Wilson is committed to bridging knowledge gaps in energy and manufacturing. A proud husband and father of four, he lives by the motto: “Be courageous. For if not us, then who? We are they.”
